Day 1 - 15th June, 2017

This morning a thought popped up in my mind, whether or not I should take up writing into my daily habits? Soon, my mind recollected some moments spent with one of my best friend, ‘Sunshine’ why don’t you take up writing? And suddenly, I felt like, “Wow, am I really that good in writing?” I was on cloud nine, feeling like Chetan Bhagat, LOL.

But, actually I’d like to share good thoughts, ideas, money making techniques or any good stuff. So, I thought to start writing,and I actually came up with the concept of Promotional writing, and started immediately. Today is 15th June, 2017; 08:24 AM and I’m sitting in front of my laptop writing this after my husband has left for work. Times when the market is really down in the UAE, sitting idle, I thought writing could be my best companion and here I am.

After I finish my household chores, my routine goes something like this, I sit with my laptop and start searching for jobs ending up with no phone calls for interview. However, I’m used to this now and I really hope that I will surely this year land up with a nice paying job after long wait. After I’m done applying for various jobs, I post on my blog ‘https://htawq.blogspot.ae/’ any random stuff that I feel like posting. I’m definitely promoting my blog here now! LOL, winks. I’m blogging because I believe someday in my life, I will be receiving a huge cheque from Google (laughs).

I thought that I might be the only person despite of holding an MBA (HR) qualification here in Abu Dhabi who is sitting at home without a job, but when I realised that there are many, I smiled. You know it’s quite frustrating for a working woman to sit idle at home who used to be once a salaried person.

There was a time I used to be frustrated because of not landing with a job. We used to fight a lot because I never used to sit at home before I was married. My mother brought me up like a guy and made me gutsy. I wasn’t liking the feeling of sitting at home and just performing the duties of a housewife.

It’s going to be 8 months without a job this June, and if it’s going to be an year without a job, I’ll definitely feel that it is my sisters black tongue (wink) who used to say don’t work after marriage at least for an year so that you both can spend quality time together. When time comes closer to an year, I feel that she really had a black tongue! LOL.

It’s really tough for any lady staying here in the UAE without a job. It’s not always about earning money, it’s about staying at the home ‘alone’ everyday till your husband comes back. ‘Home Alone’ reminds me of that movie in which the little guy stays home alone as his parents forget him to take him along with them. By no means I am promoting this movie as I am not running a Kapil Sharma Show, LOL. Just kidding!

As I grew up alone, I do not feel much difference, but, surely I miss my mother a lot as we used to be with each other all of the time like best friends do hangout whole time. She misses me a lot too.

However, it’s the truth that a girl has to leave her parents house after getting married. Harsh truth, isn’t it, especially when your mother is your best friend (sad).

Once I’m done with my household duties, the rest is my time. Shine time!
I made two really good friends, one is Reena who loves singing is from Bihar and the other is Hizwer who is from TamilNadu. Reenas’ husband works in Airways while Hizwers’ husband is an Architect. Reena is an MBA (Finance) graduate where as Hizwer is an Architect.

Reena has two sons, one named Luv and the other little one, the cutest Aarav. We all are home makers, but, everyone of us has different duties to perform.
